As much as I love twilight and all my friends that I've made along the way...I've decided to shut down this website. I will keep the twitter account open to talk to the friends I've made along the way and to keep making new ones, but I've finally come back to the real world and it's kicking my butt and I need to get out of fantasy land. As most of you have noticed, I haven't been on here like I should be for a few months...that's another reason I'm shutting the site down. I won't be updating anymore but I will still help my loyal friends out. Only certain people will get follow fridays on twitter from now on and I'm sorry if you don't make my list if "certain people", don't take it personal it's online. If anyone does want to follow the real me (Ashley)...than follow @ROBisKELLANme.

Signs Major Distribution Deal In Japan

MTV: Summit is still deciding if Breaking Dawn will be 3-D

I'm not huge on 3-D movies becuase they do give me a headache, but I really do think they should make two versions of Breaking Dawn. Kind of like they do when they put Eclipse in IMAX, they should have the 3-D one play for a few weeks while showing the regular one and make it a limited time thing. They'd make more money because I honestly wouldn't mind seeing it, but after I watched it like that a few times I'd continue to watch the regular one as much as possible. Haha! What do you all think?

MTV has a new article about Summit’s ongoing discussions regarding the possibility of Breaking Dawn in 3-D

“That decision has yet to be made,” Summit distribution head Richard Fay told MTV News. “It’s still the source of a discussion.”

While those talks inevitably touch on technological hurdles and monetary interest — owing to the premium-ticket prices that 3-D flicks command — Fay emphasized that the studio is more focused on creative concerns.

“There’s certainly a financial part of the discussion,” he said. “And yes, there’s a certain amount of technology that has to be considered and accounted for. But it really comes down to the creative folks.”

“In any of these roundtables conversations, [Summit CEO] Rob Friedman has always been concerned about the ‘Twilight’ patron,” Fay added. “His concern is always the people that come in to see this movie. He doesn’t want to turn them off or offend. That’s why it’s a creative decision. A big factor is the perception of our audience. What are their feelings going to be? If it lends itself to being a better movie because of 3-D, then that’s the technology we’ll use.”

Since Summit is interested in fans’ opinions, we’re wondering how would you feel about Breaking Dawn in 3-D?

Were you expecting all this fan hysteria when you first signed up?

It’s funny, but I hadn't even heard of Twilight before I did it. And it is getting bigger and bigger. When I signed up for the role I found out the following behind us, it was so much bigger than I expected, and it is definitely different to anything I have and ever will experience in the future, I’m sure.

Have you got used to being so famous?

You actually never do because it’s just not normal to walk out on stage and have thousands of people screaming at you.

How do you avoid attention?

You have to be smart about where and when you decide to go places. Walking down Rodeo Drive in LA is probably not a good idea. I find certain hangouts where I know I can have fun, enjoy it and it’s also a safe place to be.

Do your mates take the p*ss?

Everybody teases me about the shirtless thing and my little jean shorts. It’s all good, though.

What have you been spending your money on?

It is tough to go shopping when you are busy. You don’t want to purchase something extravagant, because you are just going to leave it behind. One thing my parents taught me is to save my money because you never know what is going to happen. Tomorrow you may lose everything! My parents have been a big help. I make sure to have them on set to visit because it does get lonely, filming for three months, so I like bringing home to wherever I am. My friends visit quite often. I usually have someone there. I am never there by myself for too long.

It must be more difficult to meet new people now.

To meet new people is not, but to trust new people; you definitely have to be more aware and careful. You just have to take things slow and get to know them well. The Twilight cast have become great friends though. I’m definitely not looking forward to the day this series finishes, but we will keep lifelong relationships. We’re all in Vancouver filming and we have dinner at night and we hang out and go to the gym, that sort of stuff.

You’re one of the hottest actors in Hollywood. How does that feel?

Really? [laughs] I wouldn't consider myself that. Twilight’s been an incredible platform… It’s an amazing place to be.

There’s a lot of romance in the film. Are you romantic?

I can be. For me it’s something more simple, not going out and doing something extravagant. It’s more like just being able to talk to each other, sitting down and sharing stories or whatever, rather than staying busy. If you go to a baseball game or something you can’t have one-on-one time where you get to know each other.

Are you more like Jacob or Edward?

Jacob. I think the closest thing I can identify with is his persistence. He fights for Bella a lot, and I’ve been taught my whole life, and it’s definitely been the case, that nothing comes without hard work. Jacob is very persistent and you’ve got to love a girl quite a bit to fight that much

Would you fight for a girl that way?

If I loved somebody the way Jacob loves Bella, then of course.

What’s the weirdest experience you’ve had with a fan?

We were in Sydney and were signing stuff, including people’s arms and things and this girl had a massive wolf pack tattoo, identical to the one on my shoulder in the movie. She asked me to sign just below it and, later that night, Kristen’s like, ‘I bet that girl is going to get your signature tattooed’. Sure enough the next day it was all over the internet that this girl had my signature tattooed to her arm.

Have you ever been starstruck?

I was starstruck when I met Tom Cruise for the first time, although he wasn’t Tom Cruise, he was Les Grossman [his character from Tropic Thunder]. I walked up to him and he was facing away from me, and he’s doing his dance moves, and I’m like, ‘You’ve got to be kidding me, this is my idol, this is Tom Cruise,’ and he turns around in the suit and introduced himself. He’s my icon; I want a career like his!

What's a perfect day for you?

When I’m not working it’s doing nothing. On the couch, watching TV, spending time with friends and family and doing nothing.

What do you like to watch on TV?

Probably American Idol. I’m a big American Idol fan. Huge. And I called Lee (DeWyze, who won) right from the beginning. When they got down to the top 24 or something I was like, ‘This guy is going to win.’

So you actually called in and voted?

Not any more, but I did eight years ago when the show started. For the first three years I would dial in. I think – this is going to sound psychotic – let’s see, eight years ago I was like 10 years old. I’m 10 and there was this girl that I really liked. I forget her name. I think she came in like sixth place and I literally called in for her 60 times. It was crazy.

Screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg Shares Her Vision For Breaking Dawn and Just How Gory It Will Be!

Now that Eclipse has hit theaters and broken box office records, Twilight fans are already anxiously awaiting the next onscreen chapter in Bella and Edward's love story: Breaking Dawn. We talked exclusively to Melissa Rosenberg, the screenwriter behind all of the Twilight films, to find out what we can expect from the final two installments. She weighed in on whether or not Bella's childbirth scene will make it to the screen, shared her most surprising fan moment, and dished on her creative relationship with Stephenie Meyer.

PopSugar: How did you feel about the decision to split Breaking Dawn into two movies?

Melissa Rosenberg: Relief, actually, because it was going to be quite a challenge to condense such a large book into one movie. That's always the challenge with all of these and, more so, Breaking Dawn. Having a little more room to breathe is nice . . . on the other hand, there's also the challenge of making sure there's enough to fill two movies.

PS: We've heard there are some scenes you want to avoid showing on screen in Breaking Dawn. For example, Bella giving birth. Can you tell us why?

MR: That was a misquote. The childbirth — all the scenes, I feel — should be on screen. I think perhaps what I was referring to was, would we actually see Edward's teeth through the placenta? I don't think so. I don't think we need to see that, and if someone needs to see that, I think they should take a look at that. [Laughs.] I believe it will be implied, but I don't think we'll see teeth in the placenta.

PS: What responsibility do you feel toward the fans? Are they on your mind during the writing process?

MR: The responsibility I feel to the fans? Well, there's one: making them happy, of course. I want people to enjoy the movie and not feel that I killed their favorite novel! But what I've realized is, you can't satisfy all the people. But the real weight that I feel is a very heavy responsibility, knowing that a lot of women and young girls are seeing this, and watching to make sure that what's portrayed in the film is that Bella's a strong female role model. That the messages they're getting are positive ones.

PS: What's the craziest or most surprising fan reaction you've experienced?

MR: You can't call it crazy, but crazy wonderful. I just came back from Paris. I was there [for a press junket] with some of the actors: Daniel Cudmore, Edi Gathegi, Michael Welch, and Alex Meraz. At the end, there was this closing ceremony and we were told there was a surprise for us, and they led us out on the stage . . . and the entire audience was sort of standing in this darkened theater, almost as if in prayer. It was very odd. And then after a moment, Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance" starts up, and they break into a dance they've been choreographing for three days. This wonderful, very unified dance, and it was amazing. We were stunned. A thousand pairs of hands all raised to the beat at the same time — it's a powerful experience . . . I wondered, could that have happened anywhere else but in France? Would American audiences have been too cool?

PS: How involved is Stephenie Meyer in the writing process and what is your relationship with her like?

MR: Stephenie is very involved. My relationship with her has only gotten better with every movie. When I met her and began to engage, I had no reason to be protective. I found her to be extremely collaborative and a tremendous resource. So I began to engage her more and that happened more on New Moon and even more in Eclipse . . . She weighs in on every draft of the outline, every draft of the script. She's on set. She's very involved.

PS: What is one of your favorite scenes from the books or films? Is there one you've especially enjoyed writing or look forward to writing?

MR: There are a number. I think seeing Bella as a vampire and her adjusting to her powers and embracing them, those are all really fun scenes to write. Particularly when you picture Kristen Stewart playing her, and the way she's embodied Bella as a sort of awkward, fidgety persona. When she turns into a vampire, all of that goes away.

Taylor Lautner Surprises Fans At Hampton High School

I think I can speak for everyone out there, so why do people like Taylor show up at high schools in the US and when we were younger we didn't get anyone but our parents showing up, so WRONG!

PITTSBURGH -- Pittsburgh-area teens spending a few days of their summer vacation camped out on the field at Hampton High School got a real treat on Monday.

"Twilight" heartthrob Taylor Lautner took a break from shooting his new movie, "Abduction," to sign autographs and take pictures with a swarm of fans.

"It was amazing," Hampton graduate Chelsea Waldschmidt told See and Be Seen. "I actually got so close to him I touched him."

VIDEO: Girls Line Up To See Lautner

Waldschmidt said she and about 100 other girls were watching Lautner film a scene outside the school, which included him riding a motorcycle and driving in an SUV.

"All of a sudden the SUV came over to where the crowd was standing and he [Lautner] got out and said, 'Hey, what's up guys?' Everyone started going crazy," Waldschmidt said.

Despite all of the excitement, which included paparazzi from national media outlets, Waldschmidt said Lautner remained calm and wasn't in any hurry to leave.

"I've never met a celebrity, so it was really cool. I didn't expect him to be so nice. He didn't even have any security with him," Waldschmidt said.

Hampton High School will not just be used for a location and then given a fake name for the movie. Filmmakers have agreed to use the school’s name and to make Lautner a Talbot.

“This is huge for us, to have the producers agree to keep the name of Hampton High School in the film and to see Lautner as a Talbot,” said assistant superintendent Dr. Jo Welter. “We’re thrilled.”

The building will not be the only thing featured in the movie. Hampton High School’s marching band also will appear in a scene, as well as students who will serve as extras. Producers also are interested in featuring the school’s cheerleaders.

Hampton’s wrestling coach, Joe Bursick, has a special role in the film. Bursick has been working with Lautner to help him learn wrestling moves for scenes which will feature Lautner wrestling in the movie.

Other students will be allowed a behind-the-scenes look at the production process by being given access to the set during filming.

High school principal Jeff Finch also has been directly involved with the film, helping arrange for the daily needs of the film crew as they transform the high school art room into a classroom for the film.

Filming dates are set for July 12 and 13 at the high school. During this time, the high school will be closed to the public.

John Singleton, who received two Oscar nominations for writing and directing "Boys N the Hood," will direct "Abduction." The movie is about a teen who learns that the people he thought were his parents are not.

Portions of the Lionsgate film are being made in Pittsburgh, Greensburg and Hampton Township. Principal production is expected to last into September.

In her now-immortal novel Twilight, Stephenie Meyer describes Alice Cullen, sister of tween dream Edward, as a “devastatingly, inhumanly beautiful” pixie vampire with “obsidian eyes” and an “exquisite, elfin face.” Most actors would rather not admit that casting decisions were based on anything other than their craft, but 23-year-old Ashley Greene—who brought Alice to life in The Twilight Saga: New Moon and this summer’s Eclipse and is signed on for next year’s Breaking Dawn—has no such illusions. “Yes, I’m very thankful that Stephenie Meyer wrote a character that I happen to look like,” says Greene with a laugh. Given the series’ rabid “Twihard” fan base—legions of whom were locked in long before the film’s first scene was shot—if Greene hadn’t been an eerily perfect fit for Alice, the filmmakers would have heard about it. “The fans were already there,” Greene says. “Before they knew Ashley Greene, they knew Alice Cullen, and they all had an idea of how she looked.”

The Jacksonville, Florida, native was still hostessing at the Belmont, a bar and restaurant in Los Angeles, when she got the call about Twilight auditions in 2007. Since then, she says, “I’ve gone from zero to 60.” For Greene, like costars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, and Anna Kendrick, the vampire phenom has been “more than a big break,” she says. “Every one of us is working like a maniac!”

After being tormented by his d-bag boss, played by William Sadler (aka the sheriff from “Roswell!”), Joe cracks and kidnaps Stefanie at gunpoint after she rebuffs his advances. Stefanie becomes more and more desperate as she tries to escape her inept kidnapper.

Thank you for making the music and sharing. Second, why did you wait so long to live this dream when you're so evidently in love with it? And last, but not least, I am so proud of you for getting as far as you have as an actor and a musician. There are few times in my life I can remember the anticipation of an event actually being outshone by it’s happening. I’m sure I’m not alone in recognizing that most times the climaxes we so fervently strive for, will pale in comparison to the dreamy visions we allow ourselves leading up to them.

The realization of this record showing up anywhere on a BILLBOARD CHART (this week #48 on the “Heatseekers” list) Much less becoming the NUMBER ONE BESTSELLER on CD Baby, the world’s largest online distributor of independent music, has left me in unfamiliar territory. I don’t know what the opposite of disenchanted is… but for the first time in a long while, that’s what I’m feeling and it’s pretty fucking great.

The upshot of this post is to exclaim in no uncertain terms that YOU who are reading this are directly responsible for the success this project is having. There is no ugly corporate monster pulling switches and manipulating the sales or promotion of this album. There’s no motive other than the desire to provide you all with some music that in turn, just happens to provide ME with an artistic outlet I’ve kept bottled up for more than a few years. In short, (and at the risk of sounding ridiculous) it’s just about LOVE, people. Love and music– the two undeniable, universal languages. It is solely the love and support that’s coming from all of YOU that is fueling this machine and with a portion of the album’s proceeds going to Vh1′s “Save The Music” program, we couldn’t be prouder or more ambitious to spread it as far and wide as we can.

I must confess that self promotion is an animal I’ve attempted to elude battle with throughout my entire career. My distaste for it even now, will no doubt keep me from saying some things that those around me would urge me to. It is only necessity that has compelled me on this new and long awaited venture to pick up my own megaphone and shout the word to anyone with willing ears. So, I guess what I’ve learned is– if you have a mission, there is no substitute for belief in yourself and with that, there is no shame in expressing that belief. It’s unlike me to be even mildly exhilarated by ANYTHING, but at this moment, I find myself on the precipice of a new awakening to EVERYTHING. I owe this revelation to all of YOU and I just wanted thank you for it.

Lastly, I must mention that releasing this album independently has taken tireless effort and selfless dedication from many people other than myself. Although I did put up my own funds to pay for this adventure, I have no desire to make it a narcissistic source of income. Those who know me would easily testify that my interest here is only to make music and create a way for it to be enjoyed by those who dig it. However, In order for that to happen and for “Save The Music” to benefit from the sales of this record, we do have to cover the costs. When you put your heart and soul into something as intense as the duration of a film production, you become completely lost in it. You focus on doing your very best to get it right each day and you work on this for so long that you assume an ownership of it.

When shooting The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, I always felt an awareness of how many people this film would reach and as a result, knew that this film did not just belong to myself, the producers and the studio, but more so, to all of you, the fans of The Twilight Saga.

At the end of the day, after all the hard work is done, all that's left is the film itself, and your overwhelmingly positive and supportive responses have made me feel like we must have done something right. As a filmmaker, this is a rare and strange feeling of connection with an audience of which I will never forget and I thank you all for it.

Synopsis:

Billy Burk reveals awkward 'Sex Talk' with Kristen Stewart

Just days before the premiere of the Twilight Saga: Eclipse, Billy Burke, who plays Bella's father Charlie Swan, has a full schedule releasing a new album and performing a concert.

In an exclusive video interview with RadarOnline.com at the Gibson Showroom in Beverly Hills, Billy talked about the album Removed, revealed his awkward moments on set with Kristen Stewart and joked about how the cast dissed him at their jam sessions.As Bella's father, Billy dished to RadarOnline.com reporter Alexis Tereszcuk about his favorite scene in Eclipse.

"Bella and I have a scene in the kitchen, where it gets a little awkward - I feel compelled to have the talk with her about sex and being safe and all that. Even right now I'm getting a little nervous about it", he admitted.Billy told Radaronline.com he enjoys working with Kristen because they both have the same acting method.

"We get our idea of what we would like to see happen and we just throw it out there."The Twilight cast members are all musically talented.Robert Pattinson plays the guitar and Jackson is in a band, but the late night jam sessions they all have after hours seem to have left someone out.

"Haven't been invited, thanks guys," Burke joked.

Billy is in good company with the Twilight cast musicians and complimented them despite his snub.

"Rob's very talented, Jackson's very talented, Kristen even plays a little bit."Removed is available on Billy's website and is being released on Tuesday, June 22.

Billy is having his first concert the same night at the famous House of Blues in Hollywood.

He confessed, "I haven't played live in about 14 years. At rehearsal, two nights before the show, it all came together. It sounded much like the record, which is what we were after.

I'm not gonna lie I was nervous.....we were pleasantly surprised when she started hysterically laughing and calling to her assistant to see our card. She said she is going to frame it. Meet Julia Jones, 'Eclipse's' Lone Lady Werewolf

Among the new characters introduced in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is Leah Clearwater, the Wolf Pack's one and only female shape shifter. Understandably, Leah's more than a little bitter about her new lycan status; you'd hate life, too, if your werewolf boyfriend dumped you because he "imprinted" on your BFF and you were forced to join his pack (and hear his thoughts) for all of eternity.

That hostility leads to an amusing scene in Eclipse between Leah and Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart), the human heroine of the Twilight Saga who thus far has never been taken to task for stringing along poor werewolf Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner). Leah, as played by 29-year-old actress Julia Jones (Hell Ride, Jonah Hex), is as deliciously resentful as we'd imagined her, tormented by her experience on the losing end of her own love triangle with Sam and Emily and desperate to prove herself as a new member of the pack.

In person, Julia Jones couldn't be farther from Leah Clearwater, although she understands the reasons for Leah's hostility towards the world. I caught up with her last weekend to discuss her Eclipse character, her rapport with her co-stars, and her role in this week's comic book-based supernatural Western, Jonah Hex (unfortunately, I just learned that her scenes from the latter film have been cut). She had high praise for Twilight co-star Taylor Lautner, with whom she'll get to play more in the upcoming Breaking Dawn films -- and almost as much passion for the hours of real life wolf footage she watched to prepare for her Eclipse role. Although she agreed that being a werewolf would have its definite drawbacks -- namely, finding yourself naked in the woods after reverting back to human form -- she looks forward to helping Leah reach her full bad ass potential in future Twilight sequels.

Describe the audition that landed you the role of Leah Clearwater.

I have had a relationship with the casting director, Rene Haynes, for a couple of years; she cast me in at least one other thing. I went in and I read for her and for David Slade, spent about 20 minutes working on the character and figuring it out, and I came back about a week later and read for Renee and David and some of the producers again. And then I waited a whole month and heard that I got it, and then I waited another month until I could tell anyone! So it was normal in the beginning, and then pretty bizarre.

What scenes did you read during the casting process?

It was a scene pretty much straight out of the book, Breaking Dawn. The scene where I come and tell Jacob that I want to join his pack.

That's one thing we're looking forward to seeing in Breaking Dawn -- seeing you and Jacob break off from the Wolf Pack to form your own separate pack. Did you get to know Taylor very well while shooting Eclipse?

Yeah -- we obviously worked together and we hung out a couple of times outside of filming, and I'd seen him around L.A. I adore Taylor. One thing I think people don't fully appreciate about him is how smart he is; I think there's been so much attention paid to his abs and how gorgeous he is and everything, but I have a tremendous amount of respect for him. He's a really smart kid, and incredibly talented, committed, devoted…

The werewolves in Twilight are supposed to be so closely, supernaturally linked, that they can hear each others' thoughts. What did all of the members of the Wolf Pack do on set to build rapport during production?

We spent a lot of time together. The boys all work out; they all go to the gym at least once a day. And I probably had most of my meals with at least one of them while I was there. We went bowling, we went to movies… just normal kinds of fun stuff. We took walks. We walked a lot, because it was so pretty in Vancouver.

You and Boo Boo Stewart are new to the cast, playing new additions to the Wolf Pack who are brother and sister.

Boo Boo I think is in just one scene. I hope to [work more with him in Breaking Dawn]; that's a really fun one. I have a younger brother, also, so that's a dynamic I'm familiar with, and I love my younger brother so it would be fun to have one on screen for two more movies.

When we meet Leah in Eclipse, her entire body language is as hostile as her attitude towards Bella… what did you do to represent Leah's physicality, of a woman newly changed against her will into a wolf?

That's a really good question and nobody asks me about that. It was such a big part [of Leah]. That was, I would say, one of the biggest ways I kind of found her. The most obvious thing is, which it says in the book, that she's always frowning; she's angry a lot so physically, frowning was a part of it. Honestly, I watched wolves -- amazing YouTube footage of wolves -- and there's this program about this man who went and lived with wolves. He infiltrated this wolf pack and became the alpha of this wolf pack. It's long, and I watched the whole thing several times… there are things about how wolves move, and how they carry themselves, and their reactions to things, that I started to incorporate very subtly into how Leah carries herself.

The other thing about the physicality was that I think Leah has a lot of self loathing. The self-esteem issues that are warranted given all the things that she's going through -- those read in your body, too. Physically, it's like you almost want to hide. You're not comfortable with your body; you don't belong, you don't fit in.

Let's talk about some of those reasons that Leah's so bitter -- given her situation with Sam and Emily, I'd say her hostility is totally understandable.

She's so warranted! I can't think of another person, superhuman or human, who has more reason to be bitter and angry than Leah Clearwater. First of all, the love of her life has imprinted on her best friend, and she has to live with that -- she has to hear his thoughts of love for her best friend, and his thoughts of pity for her. I don't know which is worse, that or the fact that she's turned into a wolf. I think that might actually trump the heartbreak! But the story is that when the Cullens came, we started to shapeshift again and because there are so many Cullens, we went through all of the young males who had the right lineage. I had the right lineage even though I'm a girl, so I started changing also. Can you imagine? Something scary and physical happening to you? I wouldn't say that I break a nail and freak out, but I get a pimple and I freak out. I couldn't imagine changing into a wolf!

Especially if every time you did change, you shredded all of your clothes!

Yeah -- you shredded all of your clothes and you turn back and you're naked? Oh my gosh.

On the other hand, it's awesome to see a female werewolf back in pop culture.

It's super bad ass. I think maybe in future films it'll get a little more bad ass, but there's definitely a side to Leah that is super competitive, and really enjoys that she can just focus on being the fastest or one-upping the boys every now and then -- that's a way for her to take her power back and belong. She wants to just belong.

We also see you in this week's supernatural comic book Western adaptation Jonah Hex, in which you play Jonah's wife, whose death at the hands of John Malkovich propels him along his journey of vengeance. How much do we get to see of you, and in what context? [Note: Having seen the full film, it seems much of Jones's storyline was edited from Jonah Hex -- but there's always the DVD!]

A bit in the beginning, and then Jonah gets to a point where he can't go on. He has this gift of going into the afterworld, so I come back and help him on his way, in a way. I haven't seen it so I'm not sure how it appears, but she's a little bit of an omniscient kind of character. Really, she just knows him really well and she knows he's been doing all of these bad things and that's not who he really is, and he's in a position to do some good. She's sort of the person who knows him the best and who loved him, and who puts him on his way and lets him go. I think that was the hardest thing for me as an actor, dealing with the situation. You have to love him enough to let him go. When he comes to her it's almost like he's dead, he's going to die, and [Cassie's dilemma] is how badly she wants to keep him there. But she has to love him enough to say no, you have to go back and do the right thing.

Eclipse will be your third genre film in only a few years; is there something about working in genre movies that appeals to you?

I do like genre films. I like that there's a framework; it's clear what you can sort of draw on, and they have a certain type of following, a certain type of audience. I can get a lot from whatever genre the film is in, and from there you can expand and use your imagination.

In The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, the Cullen family of vampires and the Wolf Pack must learn to work together, in order to increase their chances of beating a very evil, very strong common enemy that threatens both of their existence. Because of that, fans will get to see a bit more of the wolves, including the love triangle between Alpha Sam Uley (Chaske Spencer), his soul mate, Emily (Tinsel Korey), and his ex, Leah Clearwater (Julia Jones).
At a press conference for the film, co-stars Chaske Spencer, Alex Meraz and Twilight newcomer Julia Jones talked about how grateful they are to be portraying the Native American community, in this way.

Q: Julia, how was it to join the Wolf Pack as the only female member?

Julia: You know, it happened really fast. All of a sudden, I was thrown into this group of boys and, for me personally, I was a tomboy growing up, so it felt really familiar. I have a younger brother, who’s about the same age as some of them, so there was something that resonated, initially. But, over the course of filming and some of the press that we’ve been doing, it’s like home. It just feels like family now, and it’s great.

Q: Were you a fan of the first two Twilight films? Had you known about the role at all?

Julia: I have a lot of friends who are big fans. I had never read the books before, but I actually had a very good friend of mine tell me about this role of Leah Clearwater. She said, “They’re going to make a movie out of it, and it’s you. This is going to be your role.” That’s something you hear, and it just goes in one ear and out the other. Like, “That’s sweet. She wants the best for me,” or whatever. And then, when I got the call for the audition, all I heard was, “You have an audition on Monday for Leah Clearwater in Twilight,” and I had this visceral reaction. My heart started beating really fast and I had to breathe. It was very strange. And then, I went to work.

Q: Are you a believer in the supernatural?

Julia: That’s a really good question. Yeah, I am. If I had to say yes or no, I’d say yes, for sure.

Q: How was working with David Slade this time, compared to working with Chris Weitz last time?

Chaske: They’re both really good directors. With David, he was very precise in what he wanted. He knew exactly, and so did Chris. But, what I liked about David is that he was fast. It was quick. I like working with different directors. It keeps you on your toes. He was a sweet, charming man.

Alex: I enjoyed working with him for the fact that I experiment with doing short films and being a filmmaker and, seeing his process, I realized that he’s very much a filmmaker and not so much just a director. There were moments where he threatened to just actually get the camera himself and film it. He was so involved. He always had a camera wrapped around his neck and he was documenting the whole process. That was really exciting and inspiring to see. And, Chris Weitz was just incredible. He was such a gentleman. For me, entering this phenomenon that is Twilight, it was really great to have someone at the helm like that, to just guide us into it smoothly. Now that we’ve transitioned into another film, we know the gist. We know where to go with it. And, David was just a great person to take on the franchise.

Q: What was the hardest scene for you to film?

Julia: The hardest scene for me to film was also the most fun for me. It was a scene, towards the end of the film, in the midst of the big battle, and it was raining and cold. There were so many characters in it, so it was pretty chaotic on set, and it all had to happen really, really fast. I think it was a scene that was originally scheduled to be completed in two days, and it wound up taking at least twice that time to finish. It was chaotic and physically demanding because you were freezing and wearing very little. It was also demanding, emotionally. That was the challenge, but after a certain point, you just enjoy yourself because really it doesn’t get better than that. You’re with a bunch of great people and in a gorgeous place, doing what you love.

Alex: I think the hardest scene is the scene she was talking about. We were running and it was raining and there was about a foot of water. My background is in dancing and I feel like I’m really good on my feet. I told the rest of the cast, “All right, you guys, it’s slippery out there. Don’t put the weight on your heel. Go on the balls of your feet. You’ll be able to dig into the floor better and you’ll get more traction.” So, we had to cut the corner and everyone else did it great. And then, of course, I slipped and fell. I had mud all over and there was water everywhere. And, the scene that they used, where we run up to Jacob, if you look at me, I’m in the back with a smirk on my face because they used that take, the moment after me slipping. I was trying not to laugh.

Julia: I just remember getting to our mark and being like, “Where’s Alex?” And then, Alex appeared and he was all muddy, and I heard David say, “That’s it! That’s perfect!”

Alex: It was real.

Chaske: I heard him! When we were running, and I heard him slip and fall, and I heard the f-bomb.

Q: Do you feel the Twilight franchise has created more opportunities for Native American actors outside of the franchise?

Chaske: Yes, it has. What I like about it is that it has brought us to pop culture in a way that’s never been done before in film. We’ve been around for a while. I’ve been working for about 10 years, and Alex and Julia have also been around and working. What I like about it is that it’s finally brought us to a place where we’re not always playing with the leather and feather. That’s how we paid our dues. It’s up to the media as well to accept us as other than being just the mystical figures and speaking with accent all the time. I’ve done that so many times. The kids are more accepting of us than anything else. That’s what’s really cool.

Julia: What excites me is that we’re being put in front of children and people who are in the process of defining their ideas of what Native Americans are. I think that’s probably the most valuable aspect of the way that Native Americans are portrayed in this film. I still feel a lot of adults and the media are trying to figure it out. I’m not an actress yet. I’m a Native American actress. It’s not quite normalized to most people who grew up watching most Native movies, like Dances with Wolves, Geronimo and all of those.

Alex: And, the Twilight films are in a contemporary setting. We don’t have bows and arrows. We don’t even have clothes, though.

Julia: It’s a step in the right direction.

Q: Have you heard from any of the tribes and, in particular, the one on which this was based?

Alex: The fascinating thing about portraying a tribe that actually does exist is that the stuff Stephenie had taken from the tribe, she mixed it in the realm of fantasy. But now, a lot of people are going to Washington State, to La Push, where the Quileute tribe actually do reside, and they’re learning more. They’re forced to ask questions and learn more about the culture. I think that it’s great that they’re getting a spotlight to introduce and tell the real creation story. That’s important. Fans are so into it that they want to learn where this germinated from and learn about the root of where the Wolf Pack comes from.

Chaske: All over Native country, we’re getting feedback and they’re saying, “It’s about time.” We’ve got mad support from our people on the reservations. It’s just opened up a whole different door to us. And, it’s also a little pressure because we have to be role models now. It’s something that scares me as well because that’s a big load to take on.

Julia: It is so gratifying to hear from people who look up to you and see you in these places that they never thought they could ever dream to be. It’s emotional. You really feel like you’re opening up people’s minds, who otherwise thought that they couldn’t dream big. That’s such a huge opportunity. It’s such a gift.

Chaske: Statistically, we’re not supposed to be here. We grew up on reservations and it’s a third-world country there. There is a lot of poverty, a lot of alcoholism and lot of drug addiction. So, we’re very fortunate to be here, and we know that. We’re very lucky and grateful.

Q: Julia, can you talk about your role in Jonah Hex (in theaters on June 18th)? How was that to film?

Julia: That was also an incredible experience. My character’s name is Cassie. She’s Josh Brolin’s wife. She and our young son are killed, early on in the film, and that’s what motivates Jonah Hex. He gets very bitter and he goes around killing. He’s a bounty hunter. I was not there for very long, but that experience was so great because I was on set with Josh [Brolin], and with John Malkovich and Michael Fassbender, who is an incredible actor. And, the timing was awesome too because I had come off of Eclipse and then I had done a play. At the end of this experience, I was like, “This is what I want to do. This is exactly the kind of thing, these are the kind of people, this is the type of set and this is the feeling that I want to have.” So, I had that in my mind, at this point when, all of a sudden, opportunities started coming as a result of Eclipse. I just felt like I have an idea of where I want to go.

Q: Is there any part of the creation of the Wolf Pack story that is featured in the movie that’s true?

Alex: It’s taken from an actual creation story, but it’s a bit turned around. The mythology of the creation story is that the descendants of the Quileute came from wolves, but they weren’t able to transform back. That’s the part that Stephenie took, but in her books, we can transform back and forth. She did a lot of research on it, even the name. I believe there is a certain creation story and mythology that, in La Push, the first Caucasian man that had ever been on the reservation had the last name of Swan. So, she used little things like that, which I find really interesting. She did her homework.

Q: Can you talk about the love triangle with Sam, Leah and Emily, and how that affects their story in the film?

Chaske: What happened was that, when the vampires come back, Sam Uley becomes a werewolf. He didn’t know what was going on with him, and he didn’t know why this happening, so he went through it all by himself. He had no one there to guide him. And, what happened was that he was dating Leah, but there was this thing called imprinting, which is when you imprint on someone that is your soul mate, and it happened to be Emily, Leah’s cousin. As Sam was going through all these changes, there were other members of the tribe that were going through the same thing, so he helped guide them through it and pretty much is like a coach or a sponsor. That’s what he does with Jacob, in the books. And, when he was going through these changes, one of the things that happened was that he, unfortunately, mauls Emily. That’s why she has the scars on her face. So, you’ll see some of the love triangle in the movie, where Leah gives Sam some dirty looks, from time to time. It’s a wonderful story. I liked it. That’s really what attracted me to Sam. I like the fact that there’s this tragedy there. He didn’t want this, in the beginning. No one would ever want that, and he had no choice. That separates the wolves from the vampires as well. At that last minute, some of them have a choice. Sam didn’t have a choice.

Q: So, Sam feels for Jacob’s predicament with Bella?

Chaske: Oh, yeah, he does. He has to. And, Jacob is actually the rightful Alpha male. He doesn’t want it, so he gave it to Sam. Sam is the unfortunate one who has to lead the pack.

Julia: It’s also interesting because one of the major aspects of the wolves is that we hear each other’s thoughts when we’re wolves. It’s almost like there’s this whole other world that’s going on. It’s in subtext, in the film. I don’t know how you could possibly portray people reading each other’s thoughts, but there are so many layers operating for all of us. Leah can hear Sam’s thoughts about her best friend, Emily, and she can hear his thoughts of pity toward her.

Chaske: In real life, that would suck.

Q: How did it feel to join a franchise with such a big fan base?

Alex: It’s like jumping into a hot pan. You just know you’re going to get cooked and, hopefully, it’s cooked well. It’s definitely exciting. I felt a great deal of responsibility. I used to go around to reservations and teach health and wellness conferences, and art and dance, so I knew that I was going to be looked at as a role model, and that was scary to know. But, I just made sure first that I could represent myself in a good way. I tried to prepare for it as best as I could, and just made sure I read the books and did my homework. Luckily enough, I made some really great friends along the way, which helped to make me really comfortable with whatever came with it.

Julia: I was terrified. Sometimes, I still am. In the beginning, you’re a certain size in your life, and then, all of a sudden, you get much, much smaller and every other aspect is much bigger than you actually are. You have to just accept that and enjoy it because you’re a part of something that means something to so many people. We all are so committed to our characters and to telling these stories. I was so surprised at Taylor and Kristen’s grounded-ness. They were the first two people I met. We show up to work, we really care and we want to do the best we can. I feel like that bonds us and makes work fun, and there’s a lot of work. That also took away the fear.

Chaske: It’s easy to work with this cast. Some of them have been working for a while, and for some of them, it’s their big break, and they all know that. What I like about it is that everyone’s humble. Everyone really knows this is a gift. This is something that doesn’t come around too often. When I joined this franchise, I knew it was going to be big, but I didn’t expect this. No one really gives you a book on how to do this or how to operate at this level. There are ways to keep your life private. There are ways to conduct yourself and do good work. In the end, we’re just actors, but we’re very lucky actors. This is a great franchise and it’s going to be an amazing pop culture phenomenon, but eventually the next thing’s going to come along. We’re trying to get ahold of good opportunities. It’s a fun ride to be on. I have had some amazing opportunities and experiences.

Q: Julia, you and BooBoo Stewart were the new additions to this seemingly tight-knit group of actors. Did the Wolf Pack have any hazing rituals that they put you through?

Julia: I would say that every five minutes someone was being hazed in the Wolf Pack, and it was me, half the time.

Alex: When someone gets cast in these select few roles, you know that they’ve gone through a lot because there are so many people who want to be in this franchise that instantly you’re really excited for them. When BooBoo and Julia got cast, and Xavier Samuel, you just knew that it was like American Idol. Thousands of people were going out for those roles. The first reaction is that you take your hat off and say, “Good job! Congratulations!,” and then, you get to know them more, but I don’t think it’s really hazing. Personally, I just tease people a lot. That’s the Paul thing.

Chaske: In New Moon, and we tease each other a lot to keep us humble. If the ego would get too big, we’d cut each other down.

Julia: I always had this feeling that was something in my hair. I always felt like things were touching me.

Q: For Breaking Dawn, is there anything specific that you hope your character gets to do?

Chaske: I just hope there’s more Wolf Pack. They’ve been really good about keeping storylines. Stephenie is on set, too. The fans obviously really like the movies because they’re keeping a pretty straight line on it, and I think Breaking Dawn is going to be the same thing. They’re going to do justice by the fans.

Q: What Native American legend would you love see made into a movie someday?

Chaske: I’ve always had a fascination with Crazy Horse. He’s from my tribe, the Sioux, and I’ve read so many books about him. That’s something I would really like to bring to the screen. I don’t want to be Crazy Horse, but I’d like to direct it. It’s just one of those stories that a lot of people don’t know about. He’s such a mystical figure, a warrior and a leader that he just fascinates me, as a character.

Julia: Has there been a movie made about Sacajawea? She’s been in a couple movies, but there hasn’t been one just about her.

Alex: Night at the Museum.

Julia: That doesn’t count! There aren’t very many notable Native American female figures, historically. There’s Pocahontas and Sacajawea. I’ve heard of stories of family members of mine that are interesting, but it’s not quite the same for the girls.

Kellan Lutz's abs epiphany came during an eighth-grade graduation party at a water park. "Before then, I never knew abs were attractive," he says. "Where I grew up in Arizona, you would never see anyone without a shirt on at school. But when I took off my shirt, all the girls were, like, 'Oh, look at your abs!' And I was, like, 'Yeah!'"

Psychologists call this "positive reinforcement." And Lutz instinctively knew what to do: Stay active.

It's understandable to be ticked off by Lutz's looks, which are great despite the deathly pallor of his vampire character in the Twilight flicks. Men resent other men who are that good-looking and that fit. It seems too easy.

But it wasn't. The 25-year-old's advantage was an early love of athletics, but he's had to put in constant effort to maintain his physique. He played football in high school (plus trombone in the marching band—a hell of a timemanagement trick), hit the gym regularly for years, and considered becoming a Navy SEAL. One of the reasons he attended Chapman University was its location—near the beach.

If only we'd made fitness part of our lifestyle as kids, then ... But there's no reason we can't start now.

Hell, Lutz's workout regimen had been an unfocused mishmash for years--until he filmed the HBO series Generation Kill in 2007. How do a bunch of guys stuck in the African desert kill time for 7 months? They do exactly what you and your friends should do: challenge one another. In Lutz's case, that involved pushup and situp contests and lifting weights in a makeshift gym. One fellow actor, a former pole vaulter named Rich McDonald, offered Lutz some helpful tips; now they're regular training buddies.

To stay in shape after The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, Lutz starts every workout with 5 minutes of cardio and follows it up with core work. "Activating the core maximizes muscle utilization in every other exercise," McDonald says. Translation: Core work makes your body ready to rock. After a few sets of powerful full-body movements, Lutz and McDonald do simpler exercises that target specific muscles, letting their bodies recover a bit before another blast of energy and muscle-fiber recruitment.

When exhaustion compromises Lutz's form, McDonald has him back off—even if Lutz wants to continue. It's more important that he do things right. Otherwise he'll risk hurting himself.

The workouts don't end when Lutz leaves the gym. While it's impossible to stay perfectly faithful to a routine, it's easier to stay active when fitness blends naturally into your day. That's why Lutz hikes, and swims in his backyard pool with his shepherd husky, Kola. He even does lunges while he's out walking Kola.

Food used to be a problem, though: Good eating habits weren't something Lutz had an early start on. He was one of eight kids raised by a divorced mother. "With a big family and not a lot of money, we ate whatever we got," he says. Years later he could still eat 10 Taco Bell tacos in one sitting. "By the time I got to the eighth one, I'd feel so sick."

No longer. Now Lutz eats small meals every 2 to 3 hours, and he never skips breakfast. Because of that, he's energetic all day. And he's never too hungry, so he's less prone to overeat. To keep his metabolism humming overnight, Lutz downs a hard-boiled egg before bed.

The dividends are as much mental as physical. Fitness teaches him to channel his energy. Just before we spoke, Lutz had been dealing with two flat tires and was pretty annoyed. "I'm not usually a down person, so when something like that happens, I go to the gym and run it off—work out, make my blood pump."

LUTZ'S TIPS FOR WORKING OUT HARDER, FASTER

Follow these rules to enhance your workout.

Buddy Up The benefits of working with a trainer far outlast those of solo sessions. "It's great to have someone to push you and hold you accountable," says Lutz.

Create a Game Bored with a routine? Here's a game Lutz plays: Spread out a deck of cards, pick a card, and guess its color. If you're right, your partner must do the number of pushups displayed on the card. If you're wrong, do double that number in crunches. Go through the deck and you'll both do about a combined 300 crunches and pushups.

Lay Off the Abs When Lutz first began exercising in high school, he'd do crunches for hours every day. Wrong move: Those muscles need time to recover. "I saw much better results when I hit my abs harder and less frequently," he says.

Grow Proportionally Lutz used to focus on his chest and arms, and ignored his skinny legs--but that made him awkward and out of balance. "You can't just build a huge chest and arms. You need to work out your body evenly," he says. "Otherwise, A, you'll look weird, and B, it's not the best for your body."

'Eclipse' Producer Wyck Godfrey on 3D, 'Breaking Dawn,'

I like to picture the two-part Breaking Dawn movie as a NC-17 gynecology horror flick packed with pillow-biting sex and bellies ripped open, and guess what? I'm not alone. In fact, Twilight Saga producer Wyck Godfrey is the one who brought up David Cronenberg's Dead Ringers when we met to discuss this month's Eclipse, in which Twilight heroine Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) finds herself torn between her vampire and werewolf beaus as an army of bloodsuckers threatens to kill everyone she loves. (He also told us he'd love to cast Stewart in his remake of the brutal French-language pic Martyrs. More on that here.)

But Godfrey knows his Twilight audience, so I asked him to set the record straight on rumors that the two-part final installment, Breaking Dawn, could go for an R-rating. Over the course of a highly entertaining discussion, he explained why 30 Days of Night director David Slade was chosen to helm Eclipse, what made Dreamgirls razzle-dazzler Bill Condon right for Breaking Dawn, and how elements of horror filmmaking factor into the vampire romance franchise.

We discussed Bella's newfound confidence in Eclipse, and how her infamous upcoming childbirth scene could possibly go down with a PG-13 rating. He mused on how 3D might be used to film part of Breaking Dawn, which begins shooting this November. He gave a compelling defense of Bella Swan's problematic attractions to both Edward and Jacob, a love triangle that reaches a boiling point in Eclipse but develops new complexity as we move into Breaking Dawn. Most importantly, Twi-hards, Wyck Godfrey promised plenty of feathers.

Why was David Slade the right choice to direct Eclipse?

Honestly, I loved Hard Candy. Ever since I saw that movie I was sending him everything I had. I loved the performances he got from Patrick Wilson and Ellen Page, I loved the filmmaking and the way he kept one small house, and many times one small room, alive and tense and exciting for an entire movie. And then, I saw 30 Days of Night and liked the genre elements of that, and how he had a real vision for how he wanted that world to look. That was kind of the perfect combination: his ability to tell a story and elicit amazing performances in Hard Candy, and to create a world in 30 Days of Night, which were sort of the combined qualities we were looking for in a director. So, coming off of Chris [Weitz], who is a really classic filmmaker and creates beautiful imagery, but very romantic imagery, we wanted to go in a little bit of a different direction and create something that had a little bit more anxiety and edge to it, as Bella really struggled with her choices, between Jacob and Edward, between becoming a vampire and staying human… we thought [David's] style would bring a lot to all of that stuff.

Along those lines, what makes Bill Condon right for Breaking Dawn?

The themes and the story of Breaking Dawn are very mature; Bella and Edward are going through very adult things, from marriage to childbirth, motherhood, parenthood, and the evolution of their relationship into something that is a partnership, which is not the way Edward has viewed this relationship with her before. Bill's a very mature filmmaker; he's dealt with very difficult themes and stories in his career. He's also gotten Academy Award nominations for actors in the last three films that he's done. And from a performance standpoint, Kristen's going to be diving into stuff that she hasn't been through. It's one thing that she can remember first love and falling in love and being torn between two guys, probably, but the idea of dealing with some of these issues and having a filmmaker that can really help them as actors was vital to Breaking Dawn. Also, the visual nature of Dreamgirls made us feel like he could create something with a real scope and grandeur to it.

There's also his earlier work: Candyman: Farewell to the Flesh, Sister, Sister…

He's a genre guy! That's really exciting, that in some ways he'll be coming full circle and utilizing his early roots with the stuff he's been doing recently. I think that'll be fun for him.

The whole idea of balancing horror and fantasy elements with a greater love story also comes up in Eclipse, which ramps up the genre elements considerably from the first two Twilight films. Was there ever an impulse to go even darker, to tip the balance more towards horror with this installment?

I think it's not as mathematical as that. The core of the story is character based, and you have to nail that first -- that's why people love the franchise, but they also love the mythology and the genre elements of it. You want to make sure that you're tracking Bella's internal struggle along with the external conflicts of the movie, which is what's happening in Seattle, what dangers are descending upon Forks and threatening both families she loves, the wolves and the Cullens. I think that's something that we, Melissa Rosenberg, and Stephenie Meyer worked very hard on in the treatment stage and at the script stage to feel like we had a screenplay that represented both sides of that story.

The production notes quote you talking about the Eclipse production as a sort of summer camp, not without "the squabbles that families have." Can you elaborate on that?

This is the first kind of true series I've been involved in, but usually you become a really tight knit family over the course of making a movie, and then you never see each other again, and that reminded me of summer camp as a kid, where I'd make these intense friendships and wouldn't see some people ever again, and some people until the following summer. On Eclipse, having done two films together we all know each other really well; we know each others' instincts, who's in a good mood in the morning and who's in a bad mood [laughs], but with that comes the ability to communicate more openly about things that you're really pissed off about or things you want. You get that sense that we're all back together, we're all diving into it, but it is like a family in that you'll have those moments where you're not getting along. The good news is that you know, even out of that, you can sort of be back together afterwards and re-bond in different ways.

On the first film, when you're first getting to know people, you're guarded in a way that you're not when you've known someone for two years. You're guarded in that you may not say something you want to say to someone for fear of their repercussions, and now it's just like, 'You know what, you really pissed me off when you did that!' And you just get through it.

Eclipse, very importantly, features a speech by Bella in which she asserts her confidence and her newfound maturity. Was that a response in any way to criticisms of Bella's passiveness in the first two films?

No, I think it was a response to her journey in this movie, where you felt like if she starts the movie with the decision 'I'm going to become a vampire, this is what I want,' and you take her through a series of conflicts and obstacles that force her to call that choice into question, at the end of it she needs to have come to a place where she not only goes, 'Okay, I'm going to become a vampire' but also that she has a heightened understanding of what that means. We all felt that we needed to articulate that and make it clear, not only to Edward, but also to the audience.

Do you think non-fans who may not know and love the characters as well may reject both Edward and Jacob as unhealthy romantic choices for Bella, both not good for her in different ways?

I don't know -- what do you think? Is one of them a really bad boyfriend option?

Let me first say that I am firmly on Team Edward… but I think some might see him as being very controlling, while Jacob is emotionally manipulative in what he does, specifically in Eclipse.

I think the thing that is very relatable whether or not you've read the books is that men are completely flawed, one way or the other, and women have to choose the best qualities out of one man knowing they've got deficiencies in other areas. [Laughs] So Bella's going through what every girl goes through.

Well, I can't argue with that. Now, you and I have talked before about Breaking Dawn and how it would never go beyond a PG-13 rating, but recently rumors of an R-rating have sprung back up. Would you care to set the record straight again?

NC-17. We're going full on X. [Laughs] Do they have triple-X anymore? I believe fully, I'm unwavering in my belief that these will be PG-13 movies. And really, I say that not because I know what we're shooting but because I feel that they should be. I feel like the audience of the books and the movies, many of them are under 18; my ten-year-old son goes to these movies, I can't make an R-rated conclusion to the franchise.

Is your ten-year-old son going to understand pillow-biting and feathers strewn everywhere?

By the time it comes out, he'll be 11 and a half, and I think that's all that was on my mind!

Fans around the world seem to have one big request, and that is: Feathers. Lots of feathers.

We have feathers currently being grown on geese around the world so that we can steal them for our pillow-biting feather eruption!

And then, there's the birthing scene, which some of us horror fans fantasize about going down like a scene in a Cronenbergian horror movie…

Yeah! Dead Ringers. We should go full on! My wife's an OB-GYN so we should bring her on set to make sure that if Edward is going to do an oral Cesarean, he really needs to make the proper incision with his teeth.

Needless to say I know that a gory Breaking Dawn isn't going to happen quite like I envision it, but how close do you think it can come to evoking the sort of visceral goriness of what's written in the novel?

I think the one thing that we've done that we've really done in all the films is keep them very subjective and keep them from Bella's point of view. So the conversations we've had with Bill, is that we'll try to do something similar here; you're with Bella's perspective and her point of view of what's taking place in the rush around her, as she's in intense pain. Not so focused, objectively, on her body and his body and that. So I think it'll be something like that, in terms of trying to make the audience experience and feel the confusion, almost, of what's happening to her.

Earlier today, Kristen said Breaking Dawn will start shooting in October -- is that right?

November. She starts training in October. And we'll probably shoot [the two parts] together, as one long story.

And how might you use 3D in either part of Breaking Dawn?

We have considered it, and everything's being discussed, but I know that part of a way to differentiate the two movies would be to have one be in 2D, and when she becomes a vampire we move into 3D. But we haven't really gotten far enough to decide what we're going to do. I'm of two minds of it, frankly, and I think everyone is; I don't want to chase the format if it's not organic and appropriate. If we think it is, we will.

Lastly, how are you juggling the Twilight Saga with all of the other titles on your slate?

Well, my company has two partners -- myself and Marty Bowen. The way we've always run things is we work on things together up until one's going, and either I oversee a movie or he oversees a movie during production and we give each other our other points of view while we're in post. So while I was doing Twilight and New Moon he was doing Dear John. While I was doing Eclipse he was doing Everything Must Go. During Breaking Dawn we have a couple of films that'll probably go that he'll be overseeing; one's a Fernando Meirelles Janis Joplin movie with Amy Adams playing Janis Joplin. The other is a ten-year high school reunion movie that Jamie Linden, who wrote Dear John, is writing and directing, and hopefully Channing Tatum and a bunch of his buddies are going to do it.

'Twilight' Producer Wants Kristen Stewart for 'Martyrs' Remake

When I caught up with producer Wyck Godfrey this weekend, I found out that he already has one young actress in mind to star in his upcoming remake of the French-Canadian fright film Martyrs -- Twilight star Kristen Stewart. Hit the jump to find out what Godfrey told me.

"I would love for Kristen to do it," said the Twilight Saga producer, whose previous genre credits include I, Robot and AVP: Alien vs. Predator. Godfrey, who has a long list of titles in development with producing partner Marty Bowen, seemed particularly enthusiastic about making an English-language version of Pascal Laugier's 2009 French-Canadian tale of two young women out for revenge. (That pic, starring Mylène Jampanoï and Morjana Alaoui, is considered part of a new wave of extreme French-language genre cinema, alongside films like Inside (À l'interieur), Them (Ils), and Frontier(s).)

"We're doing it for an American audience with an American cast," Godfrey said, adding that "the script we've written for it is awesome." (As reported last month by Bloody Disgusting, Vacancy writer Mark L. Smith has penned a draft of the script for Godfrey and Bowen's production company Temple Hill Entertainment.)

Godfrey says his enthusiasm to make an American version of Martyrs is rooted in a deep appreciation of the original film. "I love that movie," he said, "[although] I think it's not remake-able in its form for an American audience. But the core elements of it are fascinating. I love the cult and what it's about, and I'm also obsessed with the nature of childhood friends -- growing up when one doesn't believe the other one and the corruption between that. I'm excited."

Laugier's controversially extreme Martyrs earned polarizing reviews upon release thanks to its gruesome, brutal content -- not exactly the kind of Stewart vehicle Twilight fans might eat up, even those old enough to buy tickets. But we're hard pressed to name a young actress of Stewart's caliber with the guts to tackle a role like this, and she's proven her willingness to push boundaries and take on daring material. Then again, Stewart's dance card is pretty much filled up for the next year or so as she wraps up the final two films in the Twilight series and shoots smaller titles she's already attached to, so Godfrey's dream casting may not even be possible.

Chime in, people! Could you see Kristen Stewart in a remake of Martyrs? And should they even remake Martyrs at all?

Okay, I feel like I'm repeating myself, so I'm just going to put Taylor and Kristen's interviews into one post...because they've grown up so much. Like I said in some twitter posts a few moments ago...people don't realize that the actors are young. They're growing just like the characters they are portraying in the movies. Most of the actors/actresses are just now hitting 20, and some not even that old. Robert, Kristen, Taylor, Kellen, Ashley, Jackson, Etc....They're all learning new things about themselves as the series progress and people look at them like they're grown. That go's for Dakota too. The girl isn't eve 18 yet and she's more mature than most 30 year old I know. I'm a fan of the series, but you don't see the actors in this state of mind like "Oh my gosh, the saga is my life and this is all I ever talk about." Most fans, along with myself, have kind of gone into that mode and if you step back and look at it with a clear mind...it can't be healthy. I'm not putting any of you down because I'm guilty of it too. I'm just saying, maybe we should give the actors some space to grow and not pressure them with camera's and screaming teenage girls.

SUMMIT ENTERTAINMENT ANNOUNCES THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN TO BE RELEASED AS TWO SEPARATE FILMS

First Film to Arrive in Theatres November 18, 2011

Los Angeles, CA, June 10, 2010 – Summit Entertainment confirmed today that THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN will be released as two separate films with the first of the two slated to be released in theatres on November 18, 2011. Academy Award® winner Bill Condon will direct both films starring Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner along with Billy Burke as Charlie Swan as well as returning members of the Cullen Family including Peter Facinelli as Carlisle, Elizabeth Reaser as Esme, Jackson Rathbone as Jasper, Nikki Reed as Rosalie, Ashley Greene as Alice and Kellan Lutz as Emmett.

The project, based on the fourth novel in author Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight series, is currently being written by Melissa Rosenberg with Wyck Godfrey, Karen Rosenfelt and Stephenie Meyer producing. The TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN will start production in the Fall.

THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN illuminates the secrets and mysteries of this spellbinding romantic epic that has entranced millions.

The third film in the franchise, THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE is due in theaters on June 30, 2010.

Just in time for the upcoming third installment of the Twilight movies, there is a handset that would make any diehard fan lust for blood with its tie to the beloved films. With over 1 million LG Pop GD510 handsets sold as of February, it's now being re-launched in the form of a limited special edition that will make Twilight fans scream for joy. The LG GD510 Twilight Edition handset packs all of the features found on the original except that it will include some tasty special treats for those who want to deck out the handset during premier night. Adorning a complete black finish, fitting for a vampire of course, the phone will include various wallpapers and the signature Twilight logo on the back. Unfortunately for US fans of the movies, they'll have to look at France in importing this handset as mobile operator Orange will be selling the handset for free until the end of the year. However, those who are truly interested in collecting this piece of Twilight treasure can purchase the handset for €199 ($238). Let's just hope that buyers don't start using the phone while watching the film at a packed venue.

Edward vs. Draco: Who's the Bigger Stud?

Harry Potter and Twilight have two of the most dedicated fan bases we've probably ever seen (and they just so happen to have a Robert Pattinson connection).

Both consistently dominate the box office, Twitter and, most recently, the MTV Movie Awards.

But what happens when the two come face to face? Well, we'll let Tom Felton, who plays Draco Malfoy in Potter and who won Best Villain answer that for you.

"It's no question really," Tom said cutely and smugly when we asked who would win in a fight between Edward and Draco. "A wand is going to beat...Oh, wait. I dare not answer that. But yeah, let's go with a wand over fangs for now."

We'd have to agree; score one for Potter. So how about their cult Twitter followers? We were surprised when we stumbled upon the insane fan base for Mr. Felton on Sunday at the MTV bash.

"That might be equal," Felton laughed. However, unlike Kristen Stewart's feelings toward the new wave of social media, Tom's all for it.

"It's totally cool. Twitter sprung up out of nowhere," Tom said, adding how he thought it was a cool way to interact with the fans. "It's great. There are so many fantastic supporters out there. I can't thank them enough. They're awesome."

Then again, Felton and his GF are hardly as hounded as Rob and Kristen, so can't say we blame the babe for hating the new form technology.

Wands down for a second, though, Tom had nothing but great things to say about good mate R.Pattz, whom he worked with in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

"I hadn't seen him for a long time actually, and then I saw him for his Remember Me premiere, and I was amazed that he remembered me," Felton joked. That was the first time Tom had seen Rob since he became a worldwide phenom.

"Rob's very sweet and just a very cool guy. He's actually very unaffected by all this. He's kind of the beacon of hope for life after Harry Potter. I'm very proud of him."

Awww, see Potterheads and Twi-hards can coexist in peace! But here's the real question: Which exclusive, and very hyped, clip from the MTV Movie Awards got you more pumped, Eclipse or Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1?
