All I have to say is, she better do a damn good job and give it all she has if she's going she going to fulfil Rachelle's shoes.

BEVERLY HILLS, California — Last summer the proverbial something hit the fans when beloved "Twilight" star Rachelle Lefevre was shockingly dropped from the series, Golden Globe nominee Bryce Dallas Howard was announced as her replacement, and a real-life story line, as dramatic as anything in Stephenie Meyer's best-selling novels, erupted. But as the months have gone by, Lefevre has moved on to other gigs, Howard has received favorable reports from her new co-stars, and "New Moon" made a boatload of money.

On June 30, "Eclipse" brings the "Twilight Saga" back to the big screen with plenty of familiar faces, but a new one for Victoria. And when we caught up with 28-year-old beauty Howard, who stars in the new drama "The Loss of a Teardrop Diamond," she told us that she couldn't wait to unveil her take on Meyer's villainous vamp.

MTV: It's no secret that you entered the franchise under less-than-ideal circumstances. What kinds of things did the other actors say and do in those early days?

Bryce Dallas Howard: What's so great about that group of people is that they feel so genuinely blessed by this experience. Just by the response of the fans. But they've remained so grounded, and their friendships are genuine. I just felt really, really fortunate to get to meet all these wonderful people.

MTV: Kristen Stewart recently told us that you were "such a good actress" during the "Eclipse" shoot that "it was easy to be scared" of you. What were your thoughts working with her while she continued to develop such an iconic role?

Howard: Kristen is fantastic and so, so passionate about this role and this character. First, as a fan of the books it was such a relief to go onto set and see how seriously everyone was taking it. And, yeah, Kristen was incredible to work with, incredible.

MTV: You were a "Twilight" fan before you even got the role. In your opinion, which of Stephenie Meyer's books is the best?

Howard: I love these books, and "Eclipse" for me is [the best one]; I'm partial to "Eclipse." And that was true even before "Twilight" came out.

MTV: Tell us about your take on Victoria, as opposed to Rachelle's. What will be different? What will stay the same?

Howard: Victoria is a wonderful character. ... It's awfully juicy to play a villain. To play someone that's just evil; Victoria is evil. And I think with "Eclipse," it ends with quite a huge battle, a big spectacle, and it's very scary. It's a very, very scary book and very terrifying set of circumstances, and I think the Cullens are in jeopardy in a way that they never really have been before. It was a really, really exciting world to be a part of, because it was so scary and the stakes were so high.

MTV: Would you say you studied Rachelle's performance, to factor it into your own?

Howard: Well, I have seen "Twilight" innumerable times, innumerable. And yes, of course, I saw "New Moon" before doing "Eclipse," because the continuity of the character is critical, and Rachelle had done a really exquisite job creating Victoria. It was really important to base all of my work on that. She set a very high bar, and I wanted to reach for that.

MTV: In your mind, what were the critical elements of Victoria that needed to be maintained from the book to the script to Rachelle to yourself?

Howard: Well, the visual continuity of the character Victoria is really important, because such a distinctive character had been created, one that the fans and audience really connected to. She's described perfectly in the book. And that's really important to everybody, that there's an authenticity to bringing these characters to life that's not really an interpretation, just a true representation of what's been written on the page.

With all the time and effort he put into beefing up for 'New Moon' -- plus the acclaim he's received, the endless drooling he's enjoying and the affections of Taylor Swift -- you can't blame Taylor Lautner for being attached not to one, but two upcoming action flicks.

Per the Hollywood Reporter, Lautner will star in 'Cancun,' about a quirky college student who travels with a girl down Mexico way and discovers he must put his martial-arts skills to the test when a drug cartel kidnaps the gal and her friends.

The announcement of Lautner's tie to 'Cancun' follows the revelation that he'll bring 'Max Steel,' based on the popular Mattel toy, to the big screen. 'Cancun,' however, is presumably more of a personal project: It will be spearheaded by the production company the soon-to-be-18-year-old actor has formed with his father, Dan Lautner. A script has been inked by Eric Champnella and Grant Thompson, and the Lautners will collaborate with two 'New Moon' producers, Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen, to bring the film across the finish line.
Still, though it's natural to want to capitalize on Lautner's catapulting to international fame, he's at a tender moment in his career. This could be the moment for the charismatic young actor to demonstrate his versatility and range, not to pigeonhole himself in one particular genre. True, 'Cancun' sounds as if it'll play to Lautner's strengths -- martial-arts has been his calling card for years. But is this also a moment in which the actor could really branch out?

Source has posted 5 New Moon secrets direct from Chris Weitz.

1. Hidden wolves

''Look for an upside-down engraving of a wolf in the shot of the bowl in which Carlisle burns his first-aid equipment; on Jacob's T-shirt when he meets Bella in the school parking lot for the first time; and a wolf trinket on the dream-catcher that he gives her.''

2. Vampire elevator music

''When Edward, Bella, and Alice get into the elevator on their way to see the Volturi, the music playing in the elevator is from Strauss' Die Fledermaus (a.k.a. The Bat).''

3. Emotional baggage?

''When Bella is looking for the meadow where she and Edward are seen lying down together, she carries a golden compass clipped to her backpack — part of my baggage!''

4. Speedy suitor

''We did a little trick when Edward gets out of Bella's truck and they're arguing. We wanted to show Edward moving impossibly quickly, so we put Rob right next to the camera but out of sight, and used a double dressed like Rob in the driver's seat. When Edward gets out, it's the double, and then Rob steps in front of the camera, and it looks as if he got there faster than humanly possible.''

5. Look it up

''And last but not least: If you want to know what Jacob says before he almost kisses Bella, ask a Quileute! The address of the Quileute tribal council is I can tell you this much: He says, Kwop kilawtley.''  (Translation: Stay with me forever.)
Want more? Come back to tomorrow for five more New Moon secrets from director Chris Weitz.

After seeing the trailer to this, I don't consider it to be "Taylor's movie" anymore. It has such a great cast, it doesn't deserve to have JUST taylor's name. I mean it has Patrick Dempsey, Eric Dane, & Ashon Kutcher...then they add Tay! I think they're trying to kill us!

After seeing this trailer, I don't really consider this to be "Taylor's movie" any longer. I LOVE the entire cast! Not to mention it has Patrick Dempsey, Eric Dane, & Aston Kutcher...then they add Tay to it...I mean come ON! Lol! I think they're going to kill us with all these beautiful men. I SO can't wait for this Febuary!

OK, let's do the rundown: Ashton Kutcher, Kathy Bates, Anne Hathaway, Jamie Foxx, Jessicas Alba and Biel, Bradley Cooper, Shirley MacLaine, Patrick Dempsey, Topher Grace, Queen Latifah, Taylors Swift and Lautner, George Lopez, Eric Dane, Hector Elizondo, Jennifer Garner -- are we forgetting anyone?
Oh, right. Emma Roberts, and her aunt Julia.
From director Garry Marshall ('Pretty Woman') comes 'Valentine's Day', a sweeping, meet-by-chance, ensemble comedy in the mode of 1999's New Year's Eve star-cluster '200 Cigarettes' and 2003's Christmas Eve, Brit-fest 'Love Actually'.
Only now the day in question is, of course, that fated day every February, the one Kutcher tells us "comes every year whether you like it or not." Watch as perhaps the most star-studded cast ever assembled (not to mention two-fifths of a 'That 70's Show' reunion) navigates love, sex and relationships on a day meant to celebrate the whole spectacular mess.

From what we can tell about the entanglements, Cooper and Julia Roberts are working on a cross-country, plane cabin, V-Day romance, while a few thousand feet below, Biel's strained relationship with Foxx has driven her to the point of bitterness, booze and helium inhalation. Grace, in a budding relationship with Hathaway, can't seem to get his dates right, while Emma Roberts hopes the date may prove more ... transformative. Homecoming super-couple Lautner and Swift seemed turned on by "the hype" of a local camera crew, and Kucther -- who proposes to Alba on the grounds that she's "too good for him" -- is stuck delivering bouquets of roses to all of them.

We're probably leaving too much out, and as is par for the course with these types of films, Marshall probably has some lovely surprises in store for us along the way. But if the trailer is any indication, this film will a be fun, touching tour through not only what makes us crazy about V-day, but what about that day makes us crazy for each other as well.

Valentine's Day opens February 12, 2010.

Interview with Anna Kendrick

Umm....WTH! Lol! I'm kind of speechless right now, so refresh after the beep.............(BEEP!!!) Rob is going to be in an animated movie with Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart, not to mention this movie is about a Rudolp and an Abominable Snowman and its written by Stephanie Meyer.

Somehow my brain isn't wrapping around this. It's to wierd. What do you all think about it? Please, Please leave a comment, because I'm dying to know what the other fans think of this project.

'Twilight' author Stephenie Meyer brings a new twist to the immortal tale of Rudolf. With his crimson beak precluding him from joining in any reindeer games, Rudolf (voiced by Taylor Lautner) lives in self-imposed exile from Christmastown, a muscle-bound loner roaming the barren tundra of the North Pole and surviving only by scavenging the remains of the Abominable Snowman's latest victims.

When Rudolf discovers His Abominableness dead and drained of all his blood one morning, he soon learns that a horde of vampires is planning a deadly assault on Santa's Village. With charismatic young adventurer Yukon Cornelius (Robert Pattinson, naturally), a female dentist (Kristen Stewart) adept at removing vamp fangs, and a bevy of wisecracking Misfit Toys at his side, Rudolf races back to Christmastown with the one weapon better than sunlight for making those bloodsucking bastards burn in Hell: his radiantly glowing nose.

Suggested Tagline: "Rudolf with your nose so bright, won't you slay some vampires tonight?"

Thank you Twifans!

Okay Twihards, I know you all have BIG hearts...especially when it comes to children and twilight, so how about helping me out?

I'm going to have an all things twilight quilt made to action off on eBay. My goal is to raise atleast $2,000 and all proceeds will go to Alex's Lemonade.

Since I'm just now getting this started, can you all email in some twi-tour or set pictures, please? They can be pictures of any of the cast members and even Bobby Long, Marcus Foster, and Sam Bradley. (Twilight musicians are acceptable.)

Not all pictures will be used, due to how many fans their are. I will personally sort through them all and choose the best ones that will draw the most attention, then print them off, have them stitched together to make a beautiful quilt, and then post it on eBay.

It will take a little bit of time to have the finished product, due to the fact the one person is sewing all of this together.

I hope you'll help me with this and help Alex's Lemonade find a cure to all childhood cancers.

Click here to email your pictures.

The lovely ladies at Open Book Society have put together a cast for Stephenie Meyer's novel 'The Host'. I thought the cast selections were perfect, so I'm going to share them with you all. Please leave a comment and let me know what your thoughts are on a cast as wonderful as this one.

Today’s Casting Couch is brought to us by OBS Staff member Katlyn

An alien species created from the “Origin” has taken over the Earth and every human body on it. The aliens have come here to create a better world for humans. They are placed inside human host bodies and with those bodies comes the memories and emotions of the previous “owner”. Since all information is given up to the alien the host body appears to be unchanged, and the alien lives the life of the human. The only difference is a small injection scar at the base of the neck and a ring around the iris of the eye when it is exposed to light.

Now a small resistance has been created by the humans, and the Seekers, alien “peace keepers”, are out to finish the job they started on Earth. When a suspected human resistor, Melanie Stryder, is captured and commits suicide to keep her secrets she is injected with a soul named Wanderer. Wanderer is named so because she has had many host bodies from many different planets. She has never felt the need to settle after she has outlived the body. Because of her reputation, Wanderer is chosen to extract the memories of Melanie to find out where the rest of the resistance is.

Melanie – Natalie Portman
Natalie has shown herself time and time again as an AMAZING actress. She looks the part of Melanie and definitely can show her spunk and toughness. On the flip side, she is capable of showing the naiveness that encompasses Wanderer throughout the time in Melanie’s body.

Wanderer – Emilie de Ravin
This casting decision was tough for me, because looking at other dream casts they make Wanderer seem too fragile. When in actuality she is the strongest and most rounded character with her many lifetimes of experience. Emilie looks innocent but has an intelligence that only decades of experience can give her.

Seeker – Lucy Liu
Another tough casting was Seeker. This character is not shown much but her presence is huge in this story. I needed someone to match the strength and intelligence of Melanie/Wanderer and I believe Lucy Liu can live up to the task.

Jared – Ryan Reynolds
I envisioned Jared as a tortured soul during this entire story. He was torn between the body and mind of his life-love. Ryan has proved himself versatile enough to be Jared.

Jamie – Logan Lerman
Just look at this kid, how can you not see Jamie? Being the main player in “Gamer”, Logan has shown his talent to take on the key role of Jamie.

Ian – Cam Gigandet
Cam has the physical and emotional strength as an actor that makes him the icing on the cake to this love quadrangle.

Kyle – Josh Holloway
Josh has shown his capability to be a “woman-hater” in “Lost”. He can play a selfish tough character who is haunted by his past love.

Jeb – Jeff Bridges
Jeff is the FIRST person I thought that could play Jeb honestly. This character makes a lot of tough decisions while keeping the peace with the “wild” humans, while also feeling that every soul should be given a chance.

Sunny – Mila Kunis
Sunny is the cutest and most fun character. She is very passionate while also kind. Mila has the spunk to definitely play this character and calm a disturbed Kyle.

Sharon – Rachel McAdams
Rachel is not shy of her “mean girl” side. Sharon and Maggie play the most vocal part of the wild human resistance against Melanie/Wanderer. Rachel has the capability to play Sharon perfectly.

Maggie – Kathy Bates
Who else can play a cranky, vocal older (wiser) woman? Kathy Bates of course. With her amazing resume, along with Rachel McAdams as Sharon, I would not go against them in an abandoned cave hallway.

Doc – Paul Bettany
Paul is such a versatile actor that could portray the passionate and genuine Doc. His smarts and non-prejudice kindness make a character that could not be played by just anyone.

Thank you Open Book Society!
